My battery is well stowed:
I was pretty worried about something sliding down there and shorting it before I replaced the trunk floor (the original slid around a lot, this one is out of an older S60 and locks in place). I’d still like to have some tighter cover on it (that little one on the hot terminal really doesn’t offer much protection). Pre-facelift S60s had that as well, but every one I looked at at the pick and pull was missing or broken, and it’s not clear they would fit with this hold-down anyway.

I’d be very concerned if my car’s battery was somehow in the trunk! Mine all are meant to be under the hood.

This is clearly user error

Despite having no battery tie-down I’ve never had an issue.
Knock on wood

No but one time I thought my car was on fire because the positive terminal was touching the hood.

Opened my hood a few weeks ago to find my CAI filter propped up and just hanging in my engine bay disconnected. Was headed downhill and I guess it fell off and all of a sudden car wouldn’t go over twenty and was sputtering everywhere. I don’t usually expect to pop the hood in situations like that and have it be easily solvable lol
